1. Myga

According to the owner, Skiadas Kostas, “Myga also offers a huge variety of rum from all over the world – about 100 labels – with which we create unique and tasty cocktails.” As for the music, it moves between various styles of international tunes, played by a different DJ every night. Once a month, Myga hosts particularly prominent international DJs, who pump up the crowd with their musical prowess.

2. The Last Butler

The atmosphere and the jazz music at The Last Butler will take you straight back to the 1920s Prohibition era. The decor is characterised by wood and stone, with vintage Art Deco elements. “The cocktail list contains 16 signature drinks and is refreshed every six months. We focus on taste as well as on the appearance of the cocktails,” says manager Yannis Morfopos. You can find The Last Butler on Amarantou in Rhodes.

3. Mozaik Casual Bar

4. Sissitio

Bar, Snacks, Greek

A few metres from the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, at the corner of Sokratous 179 and Ippodamou, Sissitio is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the Medieval city of Rhodes. It boasts a long list of innovative cocktails and other drinks that you can enjoy in its quaint pebbled courtyard. The views are an experience in themselves, since the bar borders the Mosque of Suleiman, which was built after the Ottoman conquest of Rhodes in 1522.

5. Oasis Beach Bar

Bar, Beer, Wine, Cocktails, Pub Grub, Greek

If you can’t get enough of the sand and surf, Oasis Beach Bar is the place to go. Located on Kallithea Beach, approximately 10 kilometres (six miles) from Rhodes Town, this bar lets you extend your beach day into the night. The bar is built in a cave and hosts revelry-filled parties that last until the early morning. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a night of dancing in the sand and sipping drinks under the stars.

6. Lindos Ice Bar

Located in Lindos, this bar differs from all other bars in Rhodes. In the searing heat of the Greek summer, you can enjoy a drink in a cool –6C (21F). The bar staff will first offer you a free isothermal suit and the necessary equipment to enter the ice area, where the walls, bar and seats are all made entirely of ice. If you can handle the cold, make a selection from the exceptional drinks menu, sit back and admire the ice sculptures that decorate the space.

7. The Union Bar

Bar, Snacks, Greek

In the centre of Rhodes Town is The Union Bar, a unique space that combines industrial design with tropical elements such as palm trees, and is alive with the sounds of afrobeat. Even the cocktails have a tropical essence – the entire menu is bursting with fruity and refreshing flavours. The Union Bar also offers a number of gins and rums. In addition to the decor and drinks, the friendly staff truly make a night out here an unforgettable experience. Pantelis, the co-owner of The Union Bar, says, “We focus on our customers and their preferences. Everyone who steps through the door becomes a friend.”

8. Macao

Located in the Old Town of Rhodes, on Archelaou, Macao’s courtyard is built around an old watermill where talented bartenders make innovative drinks.
