It may be tiny, but this overseas British territory boasts a luxury hotel scene, 33 white-sand beaches and transparent waters teeming with marine life. 1. Four Seasons Resort and Residence Anguilla

Anguilla’s Four Seasons is set on the north coast between the soft sands of Barnes and Meads Bay. Spread over 35 acres (14ha), this five-star resort offers a range of accommodation, from chalk-white villas with driftwood and plunge pools to hotel rooms with ocean views. Enjoy tennis courts, a pool and spa, as well as a fitness center and stellar kids’ club. There’s also live evening entertainment and multiple restaurants and bars.

It’s set within a larger complex that is home to a championship golf course and also offers bocce and tennis courts, plus free bikes and a gym.
